I have been working for a company this summer on-site in mid-town NYC. I am going out of town a lot in August. I feel guilty about bailing on them, so I am trying my best to find a temporary (or perm) replacement.
This is a job for a designer with really good html/css skills. Basically, you would be helping this company finish getting their web site up and running as well as a few html emails.
The company is a medical magazine publisher and this is a corporate job (cubicle) but it's actually pretty laid back and people leave you alone to do your work.
Overall people are nice and the PAY IS GOOD!
If you are interested send me an email at and just send me a link to your work/resume. They are sort fo desperate so it's a pretty easy gig to land.

I know there are a lot of bored designers on here right now. Did I mention this pays well? And it's relatively painless.

How about dinner first, your treat?

So you're bailing because... This is a job for a designer with really good html/css skills.

Engage
(Jul 27 06, 07:42)What does that mean? Should I be insulted?
I'm bailing because I am going on two trips in a row and I have already worked here longer than I expected. Also, because I am too busy with my other freelance work.

even lunch would be fine...

Beeachboy offered £55k and we are in midst of talking relocation fees.
Is that what you are talking about when you say, 'PAY IS GOOD!'?
I like NYC.

I guess it's better than nothing...did i mention I'm just a print designer though..

this is really more of a temporary job with the possibiltiy of it being permanent. All I know is what they will pay a temporary contract person - between $40-$50/hr. This is good considering this could be done by someone on a junior designer level. I don;t know what they would pay if you are on salary. This isn't really a job worth moving to the US for. I think it might be ideal for people already in NYC

sorry to bring this up again...but Engage sort of insulted me and I am a little pissed. i don't really think that's cool.

Shut the type up.
- mr_snuggles0
//but I really wanna move to america, especially NYC, I love seeing the leaves turn colour and the smell of urine in the fall...
- neonbeige0
Hey Jaline....okay I will take your word for it. I don't post here enough to know people's personalities. Anyway, I am PMSing and I think I might be ready for a fight. I almost started crying while watching a credit card commercial this morning....
There was this group of little kids jumping up and down showing off paintings they just made. It was really sweet!

nothing wrong with not wanting to do html/css job. i personally wouldn't do it and contract out to someone who can do it faster and cheaper.
i mean, if that's the case.
- barbtastic0
that is all they are paying freelancers in NYC?!? wtf
