hey, please let me know what you think about this -
i did the sketch in a couple of hours and now thinking what t improve... i want to keep it simple, but perhaps add some little details.
logo is also mine, so you can talk about it as well.

id say open it up more and let it breath. keep the type consistant and balance the sides more.

the white coloured fonts in the blue area is really hard to read.
i like the overaall look.

the intersection where the right column and header meet creates a distracting "star." header might look better if it ran straight accross there.
these "stars" if they don't appear in the logo, or branding theme, are more of a distraction...
i agree with epill, the white on blue is difficult too read.
i like to colors. simple with screens.
Are you using more than 2 fonts in addition to the fonts within the logo? if so. keep it to 2 maximum.
do we get to see the next versions? hint hint...

That customer quote above the glasses looks forced into place. It would look better if you shortened the quote and made the text part of the graphic so it has a clean anti-aliased look.
I might rethink the serif font for the body text. Maybe leave the serif text just for the bold body title part and then go to a sans-serif font. Or at least bump up the line-height so its easier to read.
Definitely work some of the elements at the top into the footer area to keep a sense of visual unity and cohesiveness.
I think the picture of the person wearing the glasses is kind of distracting from the text. Maybe use that image in the top header?
Overall nice start, but i agree more attention to detail is needed. sorry i can't think of any good details though.

Good start, one thing I find a bit distracting is that the two top areas have highlights/blends that are going in different directions. (One vertical and one horizontal)
Maybe try leaving the logo area a solid cour??

Personally I would start again, it's looking pretty poor
Try to keep some more consistency there. There's no designing, just different shapes, colours, styles and type arranged in a fairly incoherent way
