------------------------Again, got to disagree...headbutting has a long and storied past ,and is the favorite tool of the, as one would say in portuguese, malandro.
It is hardly irrational, and one would always have concern for one's own safety. It's actually a very effective close quarters weapon..as Zidane showed..the other guy usually doesn't see ti coming, and a blow to the chest is sufficiently painful and forceful to knock the other guy over and then apply a finishing move, which obviously the red card prevented the Z-man from doing....
