Met my wife Christmas eve 2001. Got engaged the following April (but knew in January I was going to ask her). Our boy is now 2 and a half and funny as hell (not to mention tiring as hell)
She's sat by my side now, doing nerdy geeky things with her blog. Geek love man, it's the best.
Why d'ya ask?

this is one of my favorite wedding stories:
on the night of our wedding we drove my wife's car, covered in strings and balloons, to a hotel. now, leaving that stuff on your car overnight is a bit of a beacon to thieves (perhaps the car is loaded with wedding gifts, money, etc.).
so, not having a knife handy i used a cigarette lighter to melt the strings and then tossed all of that stuff in the trunk.
the next morning we were heading out on our honeymoon and we get in the car and smell burnt plastic.
open the trunk and sure enough there's light fire damage from my task the prior evening.
"holy shit, i set her car on fire!" is what i'm thinking, but my brand-new bride was completely cool with it.
so i thought, "hmm... i really did marry the right girl."

re: soulmates
i had no desire to get married until i met my wife.
i say the two of us were destined to be together.
she says i'm full of shit, but digs me anyway.

its funny & scary at the same time. I've said I would marry 2 girls in my life... Turns out i was wrong and very thankful that i was. I'm sure when I do get married I will say the same thing, i knew i would marry her because...
Loves fucking crazy some times!

I'm allergic to cats as well, but it's not too bad if people keep the fur level to a minimum in their houses (meaning: actually clean their houses every once in a while), and the animal isn't all over me. I've been getting used to dealing with animals more now, so it isn't as bad as it used to be, with my asthma and everything.
