another example. have a white piece of paper with a red, 2 inch dot. stare at it for 15+ seconds. look over to the side or another blank, white sheet of paper. viola, a greenish dot. i don't know the specifics, but there is something going on in there in regards to complimentary colors. trippy.

then take this picture
paste into a layer above the grayscale image.
invert the color image it and set it's blending mode to multiply.
