I do not see any scriptural basis for believing it will happen in my lifetime. But I also do not believe that "the end of the world" will be a singular event. The scriptures indicate that a sequence of events will take place over a span of time which will ultimately lead to a cleansing and restoration of the earth. I also believe that we can only speak of this ultimate event in anthropomorphic terms. This is because our finite minds cannot grasp what will be.

So Momentum, why would Satran and God have this dialogue in a Christian theological context?
Because God needs to be reminded that he allows evil to exist? That suffering is a test a faith? That would be awfully simplistic I think.
Doesn't take too much imagination to conclude that Satan doesn't think God is worth worshipping and that faith from maknkind is ephermeral.

Some circles say its to show how faith can stand and how satan can take away everything except your faith in God...
I don't your view of followers of christ... do you look at it as a catholic, protestant, or whatever else is out there?
