okay then...
This doesn't stand alone as a wordmark and does nothing to convey underlying meanings - or any concept whatsoever - with regard to the name "Concrete". The comments about it coming off as frail were spot-on and should be taken as positive, constructive criticism and not written off with a self righteous snap about "contrasts and contradictions in design". Give me a fucking break. You chose a name for your studio that suggests a solid process and solid work but what you're showing here supports none of that. If you want real opinions, show a range of options that explore different levels of conceptual thought and ideas built around the principles that drove you to choose such a strong name.

alright i'll say it.
it's weak.
it doesn't express anything to me other than crooked letters. there is no feeling.
looks like the logo could snap and at moment.
instead of concrete, it's more like paper mache.

I was just wondering if you made the font yourself because then it would be more of your own logo.
Looks pretty nice and simple.

I understand your comments.
But I like contrasts and contradictions in design.
Concrete
(May 26 06, 08:12)i agree with those that want to see it thicker. i understand contrasts and contradictions, but where as this does not say strong, secure, etc... it doesn't say weak or fragile to me either, so the contradiction might be lost as it's hovering somewhere in between. maybe putting some cracks here and there would bring out the contradiction you're after.

(May 26 06, 08:18)i wanted to be a bit more direct, but he seems to have made up his mind on the direction he is heading. i don't know him, so i will play nice.

(May 26 06, 08:21)Be as mean as you wanna be.
I asked for a crit not a pat on the back.Concrete
(May 26 06, 08:23)and you got my crit. i could have responded with another after your other post about how you like contrast and contradictions in design. that comment there said it all to me.
peace!

Its ugly. It honestly just looks like a word written out in a free font, an ugly free font (in my opinion.) The C appears too big, I dont like these flat edges that are going on. Maybe it will grow on me but the C looks out of proportion to the rest.

(May 26 06, 08:45)I am seriously beginning to think that _salisae_ is actually an automated username and spews out similar messages every once in a while. YH spy!

the C has so much space in it, what if it was a lowercase c?
also the last e needs tighter kerning.
the rhythm isn't quite there yet, but i'm sure you'll get there.

Concrete
(May 26 06, 08:23)"well I think he had some points, but apparently you are looking for a pat on the back.

I think he went too far.

alpine's response is what made me consider restating how nice everyone was. it takes effort to give crit for your half baked logo.

not sure whether someone's number of pvn responses relates to design crit credentials!
i do think alpinist had a point about wanting to communicate solid concepts and work. but maybe that's an assumption! maybe you meant The Concretes!
