there are a large number of off the shelf typefaces in that vein that would do a way better job, but I commend you for trying ot do your own thing

Excellent point, Rand. Perhaps working with an existing typeface, customizing it and/or finding a way tweak/combine/add to specific letterforms in an effort to build some meaning behind your name could go a long way toward individualizing your mark.
All bullshit aside, trying to give a constructive crit aside from the common "i like it" that i see so often here...that's what you wanted, right?

i do think alpinist had a point about wanting to communicate solid concepts and work. but maybe that's an assumption! maybe you meant The Concretes!

if there is to be a condradiction and contrast to the word - then it seems to me that a handwritten or script option was in order - those can still be solid - not brittle.
