you may have to read the applecare literature! that's what i did. you don't really want to have to ring them up and say, 'well, so i think i'll go buy your products where they're cheaper and import them for my own personal use. will you still give me insurance on them? if so, can i pay for the insurance in usd as well?'
i dunno about buying applecare after the fact, though. good luck.

I wouldn't rely on my legal English reading skills, I'm sure it says they own me whatever I do. I was just wondering whether $250 applecare was still worth it outside US..
I need to buy in the US anyway, because I want the US keyboard.

Maybe they'r not the prettiest machines, BUT, here is the mine experience:DVD not working: i called them, 2 or 3 tests and 2 days later, mr Dell arrived and replaced my drive.
LCD BackLight gone: i called them, after 2 days mr Dell arrived and replaced my LCD
And the same for the video card.
I know it may seem a shitty machine, but who cares when they come to your house or wherever you are and replace the parts in front of you?
