lets see NYC is topping the list, but I DO NOT want to live there again. I will probably go there because I know the city, know what it offers, but I resent having to pay a lot to find an apt and do not want to live in a box.
total quandry over here.

seems like a good choice but for whatever reason it doesn't really grab at me....anyone like seattle?

probably as many rain days as sun days in boulder

Bora Bora

you get sick of people talking about how great the weather is in boulder, but I gotta say it is really true. Plus when I go back to NYC to visit I can fly around the central park loop passing everyone. In boulder I get passed by girls when running.

that what I like about SF, fog some days, sun others. variety.

Judging by your screen name I think you would like Vancouver.

Toronto, Toronto...
It'll definitely be a change. I mean, it's a different country first of all. It's a very liberal place and it's a must-visit, at the very least.
People had other good suggestions too, like Dublin and Paris. There are tons of places you could have a change of environment in.
I just like Toronto because there are probably lots of jobs available for you and there are lots of people.

do you need a car in toronto?
- Jaline0
depends on where you live
- Jaline0
there is transportation available, of course. and you can walk around if you live downtown.

"do you need a car in toronto?
denvergreenbud
(May 17 06, 15:14)"Not if you live downtown, but if you ever want to leave downtown you better get used to the Greyhound or buy a car. I like Toronto as a city but most people there are too concerned about making tons of money and living in their 600 sq ft loft.

Also, Ottawa is about 4 hours away, Montreal is about 6 hours away, and New York is about 8 hours away.

i forgot to add Montreal to my list.
Montreal rules

Vancouver is also a great place. It depends on the environment you want to be in.

Okay...perhaps I should rephrase.
Is toronto like NYC where having a car is a complete handicap?
When you get an apt does it come with a parking space?
I guess the downtown area may be different than the surrounding areas, or is it like LA where you can get a reasonable place with parking.

My parents live in upstate NY, actually montreal and toronto were never considered and are quickly leading the pack.
