e-pill I haven't tried any of those places. I have been in tokyo, but it's too expensive. Any reason you suggest them.

(May 17 06, 14:26)i suggested those cities specificly as urban meccas for creative work, you seem likle a worldly traveler, and it seems you have worked and lived in many places around teh world, and telling oyu to move to a place like NYC where you already lived and worked seemed like a waste of time in the sense that you were asking for a new place.
antwerp is the fashion mecca of the entire world, dont let anyone fool you into thinking its either tokyo or nyc as they are both in 2nd place giving up london for third...
a fashionable city means more money to demand for your time and also it means sexier women for you to meet!!!
plus plus in my eyes!!

Toronto = NYC, with way more parking, I never had an issue when I lived there with my car.
Vancouver = LA, lots of parking... you can even still find free street parking in some areas.
Also, add about 2-3 hours to those time Jaline gave you. I've done them all from Toronto and they aren't quite that close.

Montreal is a beauty city... old architecture mixed with new, be ready to put up with all the frenchies tho.

you need to figure out what you want in life.

Really, chz? It never takes more than 4 hours for us to get to Toronto (and from Ottawa to Toronto). My dad always takes different roads to get there faster, and Google Maps uses the most popular highways and roads, I believe.
Other than that, chz is right about the Toronto being similar to NYC and Vancouver being similar to LA thing.

*and from Toronto to Ottawa

tronto is not even close to being nyc...
- Jaline0
we're talking about parking and downtown stuff...

(May 17 06, 15:31)"True, it's about 100 times cleaner.

Also, many films/tv shows trying to get the NY feel tend to go to Toronto and those trying to get L.A. go to Vancouver for various reasons...

Last time I went to downtown Ottawa it took me about 6hrs from downtown Toronto.
- Jaline0
Downtown...it would be different....probably 5 hours for me.
I live in the suburbs, and I usually go to the Toronto 'burbs to to visit family.

toronto girls are more approachable, as i remember.
nyc girls are ...
u know, just really bitchy.

no offense to any canadians...
moving from america to uptown to a country whose financials are weaker than what you have now, why would a thought of a move be even considdered/???
i would never move somewhere that i would earn less than what i currently earn.
what do you want out of moving? since you have a track record of the ever illusive bounce from here to there, i can see you never settling down...this would make me mad insane!!!
also since you say already that nyc is the safe zone, think of it like a new chapter to really make some money!!!! maybe demand a lot more cash than you imagine to earn.
you can do it here!!! yeh life is tough and expensive but i know i am doing great and im grabbing life!!
maybe i need to smoke some as it looks like i wrote a king julien essay and i dont think i had a real point other than NYC IS YOUR HOME!!!
:)

shhhh...Eddie...we're slowly getting him...
- Jaline0
What do you mean our financials are weaker?
- tkmeister0
eddie, it's all relative to cost of living there. i'd move to canada if the pay is proportional to my lifestyle.
well, that's if i wanna move.
- chz0
Some people make choices based on lifestyle e-pill, not how much money they make or can make. I know I could move to NYC and easily make close to double what I do now but there is no way in hell I would move there.

(May 17 06, 15:41)"Yes, please explain... last time I checked we had a surplus of around 9 billion and you guys were a few trillion and something in debt.
