i'll be out there this weekend. charged up...... the key is to sneak out front on 6th ave so you get into the park first.

see where it breaks off in Queens.
It's senseless to go that length.
Instead, cheat and cut through that Long Island City neighborhood
ha ha

sounds fun. maybe next year!
- tasty0
it was alot easier than expected due to bike traffic jams and rest stops.
Bigger better challenge por favor.
- sfeske0
totally forgot... sounds like a good ride though.
predictions, how many flat tires will you get?
- 2 for me. I'm always getting flats.mandomafioso
- tire pressure is probably too low if you're always getting flats.acescence
- or use tuffy strips if they're puncture flatsacescence

I'll be there along with 2 housemates and a handful of other friends. I'm looking forward to it so long as the weather's nice. It'll be my first year. I hear you have to try it once. A bit of a clusterf--k with so many people though.
- tasty0
worst part is funneling into central park..it's pretty smooth after that.

Do you get there really early and try to start at the front or is it not worth it?
- tasty0
it's not worth it...i think u need "VIP" passes for that anyway.
Those are for the people who try to make it a race, it's really just a killer ride, and keep your eyes out for graffiti/street art...i saw some great stuff last year.
- Gordy220
I'm doing it but haven't ridden a bike in about 9 months.
- tasty0
they make it easy with plenty of rest stops if u need them.
Gordy you'll be fine. Eat the free oranges, water, and granola bars.
- tasty0
I'll slap a QBN sticker on my helmet if i can find one laying around my desk.
- I'll keep an eye out for it. Should be easy to spot it ; )mandomafioso
- e-pill0
tasty, i have a bunch left, if you need one.
- sfeske0
42 miles fixed should be fun...
- Ouch. I'm opting for the reg roadie.mandomafioso
- BMX all the way. hahatasty
- i've done it on a fixed, but if it's a track frame where all your weight is on your arms- not so funacescence
