Why not Dublin? It has the small town feel, design scene is scarce, accents are ekhmm.. unique and weather is prolly no better. Still, you can get an apartment close to the beach and that just beats all.

Snugs, If you can work in Dutchland, you should be fine in the Uk and the rest of EU as well.. I'm Danish/Canadien and never had any trouble anywhere
