Don´t you think that the southern Spanish people don´t need or don´t want more brits on their coasts??

Well, My Basque friend - my family have already lived there for over 20 years and I wouldn't be living 'on the Costa', so to speak. Besides, we have enough Germans, Russians, Dutch and fucking Madrileños to keep the Andalusians annoyed as it is, eh?

Thanks for your immediate concern - I shall be sure to pass on your feeling of fellowship to my basque friends who've lived in England for... ooh, just over 20 years?

    European UNION, remember?

    honest,
    your wife is rad!

i was watching a tv show the other day and they were comparing the best school in NJ against one in Belgieum. of course, belgian kids did 40-60% better. one of kids even said, if american kids don't get this, they must be really dumb.

so where should i send my future kids?

    De acuerdo Nairm.

I´m referring to the usual expression, everyday used expression if you want:

"Here the things are going fucked, well, why not going to the sunny Spain??"

Why not tending to solving the problems on your country first??

ALL the countries are destined to do a BIG work on educate or re-educate his sons and daugthers... Spain is not different... and in Southern Spain you can see now the first symptoms.

    Isn´t it??

This, is always a hard one...
You must RAISE your children, not school or worst TV. I when to school with kids who had killed people and where full on wack jobs! (in London no less)Yeah, i was friends with some these kids, My moms always kept me and brothers in check... I was more afraid of her than any of the rude boys.

My mum and pops, made it VERY clear that they was our parents and not here to be our friends. Kids NEED rules and love, i know it starts at home... I'm the proud father of a little boy aged 16 mths and that if leave him to world we live in today, chances are that he will get lost... I must not live his life for him but get him to overstand with he can do anything set himself to... Love is great!

One of the reasons for moving to Ireland was the impression that it was a nice, quiet, safe place to raise children. Now that I saw some of those brats, I'm not so sure anymore. My friends living in the UK say the kids are even worse there.

Speaking of Spain, I sort of had an impression that kids there were vivid, but not bluntly aggressive, sort of the same in France. Still, I only was there on vacation, so what do I know.
I love Barcelona, so I might be just fooling myself :)

I think the only safe place to raise a child without all the stimulus of this dirty, modern world, is a national park or forest preserve.

aren't some of you guys jumping the gun on having 'offspring?'

you need a girlfriend first. (not one that only exists as a character on WoW either)

I think that you should be able to raise intelligent well rounded (not in the fat sense) whereever you live. Blaming the society in which you live is an easy excuse.

There's an interesing chapter about raising your children in Freakonomics by Steven Levitt. It discusses what you name your children and how it affects their chances in life. Quite amusing.
