Who knows the best place to book flights to/from Europe?
Also, I remember hearing about some flights between European countries that you could get for like $10. Anybody got info on that?
I know we got a bunch of world travelers on NT. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Love,

so do these super cheap flights fly into and out of small airports? If so, how easy is it to get from there to heathrow? I need a flight from Rome to London, then London to the US. And I'd like to make it as easy as possible...
I'm flying to london from states and never been there before so I'm clueless. Pardon my ignorance!

Most major countries in Europe have low cost airlines, often with region-specific routes:
http://www.skyeurope.com (Slovakia?)
http://www.centralwings.com (Poland)
http://www.wizzair.com (Hungary)
http://www.germanwings.com (guess)
http://www.airberlin.com (guess again)
http://www.norwegian.no (Norway prolly)
http://www.aerlingus.com (Irish, not calling themselves low-cost, but cheap, also flying to the US)
http://www.easyjet.com/ (UK)
http://www.bmibaby.com (UK?)
http://www.ryanair.com (Irish, but plenty of routes across Europe)$10 flight seems a fairy tale. I mean, I have bought €0.01 tickets before, but you always have to add about €15-25 in taxes.
A week ago I flew Dublin-Paris, 2 people return for €92 total.
Mind that low cost airports are usually situated far from the cities and bus/train/cab has to be calculated into the price.

In January I flew from London Stansted to Rome Ciampino by RyanAir.
I made it to Stansted by taking the terravision bus from Liverpool Station.
One-way is £7 and it took 55minutes.
http://www.terravision.it/london…From Ciampino there is a bus that goes to the nearest metro station which is about €1 or so.

anybody else actually taken one of these flights?
Is it reasonable to expect that a person like me with no travel experience in Europe to get from Stanstead to Heathrow without getting horribly lost?

you should try sky scanner
think its www.skyscanner.co.uk
I've had sooo many cheap flights from these. Got to Paris a couple of months back for £2.50 (plus tax) but the good thing about this site is that they show you how much it is with the ta added AND you can scan over the whole month.

you need to get from stansted to heathrow?
There are trains running from in the airport at stansted that will take you to liverpool street station (about 45mins cost about £20), from there you can take the central line on the underground and change onto the piccadilli line where you can travel directly into heathrow airport, just make sure you know what terminal you need.
http://www.opodo.co.uk are pretty good for flights, they are not super cheap like easyjet and all those but they will get you better flights considering time and airport options.

you probably want to check out http://www.orbitz.com for flights from your side
