I don't have a problem with people posting links to their own work -- far from it. But why do people push their own stuff as if it were from the position of a neutral?
ie today in the PBS:
"Chris Osment:Illustration
UK based illustrator and graphic artist. Fresh contemporary work...very nice stuff!"links to the site enemy808.com
posted by, surprise surprise, Enemy 808.it reaks of desperation

ive noticed that shit too
there is this one dude that posts his website saying that it is a company who did work for him and he really liked the work they did for him ... clearly it is his website
if you look at all those people's posts...all they contribute is their own shit

I know what you mean, what I also dislike is people who can only post their own site repeatedly, that really aggrevates me...

I agree. This is also the reason why I never post my submissions into contests here. Because it's annoying when other people do it, and usually they don't hang around NT as much as everyone else does.

we've done a bit of fun work together, but never worked professionally with him. Lived with him for a year in London -- now works at www.madethought.com

The dude who posts lots of useful articles pisses me off. The articles are good but it does my nut in that he posts the link on his blog then posts a link to his blog rather than just the article.
