in college i worked at a skatepark and had to break up a few fights. nothing too exciting though.

my Production Manager and Art Director have thrown punches at each other. Hasn't happened in awhile, but Tuesday morning was damn close. Walking into work with them already at each other's throats made me feel like when you're a kid and your parents fight, how you try to make yourself as invisible as possible.

My cousin used to own a sugar field in near the Marsouins River. He was very progressive in his hiring and he would have some of the kids from the local University come down after their studies and help work on the crops.
One day, two of the workers came to work very angry at each other from what seemed to us like an arguement that started during their studies. Just before sundown, my cousin had all the workers come in for a rum break as the heat was very overbearing.
We couldn't figure out whether it was the heat or the work or something that led to it, but one of the aformentioned workers grabbed the bottle and smashed it over the head of the other. It was a deafening crash. We still do not know what the disagreement was over, but the man who was hit passed away from such severe blood loss.
It was very traumatic.

nah, but i saw one of creative director cry.
oh and art director having a anxiety attack. he was carried away in ambulance.

Yes, monoblanco, it was a terrible situation to be involved in. What is sad is that most of the workers cared more about the lost bottle of rum than the lifeless body on the ground. One of the students who was studying medicine was spending more time trying to fix the rum situation than the man.

... One time at the Detroit Airport two guys I worked with got in a fist fight that had to get broken up by security.
Not after one guy got ... broken up literally.

when all the talk started last summer about the gas prices going up crazy i was talking about it (cause i have to drive so friggin far!) and this one dickhead at work (who no longer works there) kept sayin "no no...they're not going up...anyone who says they are going up is an idiot..they dont know what they're talking about)
so then they went up and i started talking about that and how shitty it was for me with another designer there and then he chimed in and basically said he didn't give a shit
then he starts doing this "muh muh" and like strutting his head forward when he would say "mah" so i told him to shut up and he said "make me" so i stood up and said "lets go"
he didn't say anything else for most of the day
oh the stories i have...thats just the tip o the iceberg

no punches were thrown but the studio i worked for in 99 went bust so all the designers were trying to retrieve as much work for their folios as they could before the doors were locked at noon.
we had fuck all time to prepare ourselves so we were verbally abusing each other, stealing what we could and erasing our HDs as soon as we got our work burned on cds.
then got pissed in the pub down the road.

oh yeah, 2 of the interns threw a few punches at the christmas doo over 'retrospect back up reasons'! never laughed so much!
