If you all could, I would like some info on my new design. Re-did the whole thing! Check it out!

the buttons don't sit right with me ... i think they need to line up with the white and maybe be a different color
overall its pretty clean
nice job

seems a bit to tight, text space etc. Not sure about color on your nav, or at least the text color.

needs more dildo seat action

it's the norm, nothing mind blowing or different. But not crappy either.
More like an info site for a marketing company then a designers portfolio.
grade: B

what is the 19.95 maintenance fee about?
- kyl30
in the portfolio, show the color thumbs. then the b/w on rollover.
and no offense but you need to look into CSS for your text styling and layout. It's 2006, css is the future.
- rrenfro0
Yeah - i usually layout my sites and then create the css. I'm just getting an idea of what i can do to make it look better first.
The 19.95 is for a monthly maintenance fee for the people I design sites for. There is a maintenance fee if they want updates, photo additions, etc. Unless they pay for a custom script, they would have to pay for the monthly maintenance fee.

I think its too blue, unless you want to be super corporate.

if you're going to use a catch phrase like this:
"A designer who...
-
... can move you"i'd suggest breaking it up into something that looks and reads more interesting, ie:
"a designer...
-
who can move
you"

Any good responses?

I mean no disrespect, but you might want to consider hiring a writer.
You have a pretty well-designed site, but the words don't work. There's no shame in that since you're not selling yourself as a copywriter, but at the same time your potential clients are looking at the total package when they visit the site. You run the risk of your design skills falling prey to a failure in presentation, one which could be easily corrected.
Something to think about.

OK that sounds good. Yeah, I wasn't ever very good at english, lol. I'll check with a few friends. Just to let everyone know, this is not perfect, I haven't gone through it thoroughly, and there's going to be alot of compaints I know. Keep it coming, I will continue to take in the comments. I need the help!
- rrenfro0
any copyrighters who can give me some help?

quick comment:
your logo isn't lining up with the left side of your site. I'm viewing it in safari...
don't know if that's a bug or not.
if it isn't: it's a bit too tight. shift it over.
- rrenfro0
I have it aligned to the left all the way
- ptolipan0
you should align your logo with the left nav and your main nav with the page edge. At the moment you have a bigger gap at the beggining and end than between buttons.
- rrenfro0
That's what I don't understand - I have firefox and internet explorer and they are both working great here

it doesn't feel like a design site to me - i dont want to spend any time there. Even people who want a corporate site need a little whizbang.

i like the weather report!
