with resoectable roles in respectable movies ,more lucy liu's and eve mendez and less Heather Ghrams and such

I don't think Crash has anything reedeming about it. It's a sad movie that ends sadly and and frankly is a little unsettling. There's no happiness in it. It was a great movie, but winning best picture, I'm really surprised.
Brokeback Mountain really pushed some limits and was a beautiful movie. I was really surprised that it didn't win.

However, Brokeback was definitely beautiful and deserved more awards.

It's just that I didn't walk away from Crash happy. It makes you think more of "Man, the world really sucks."
That's enough of a reality these days that I don't think a movie needs to portray it. If people don't know about racism and other problems in society, they need more than a 1 1/2 hour movie to teach them about it.

people just don't like sad movies, they want to see happy endings.
I personally thought capote deserved more awards, but then again most people won't enjoy that movie. Good night and good luck was a splendid movie but it was not as hyped up, hence it didn't win anything. Munich was a great movie too.

LMAO ...dude turn ur tv on once and then , tell me its balanced , tell me you would recognize Guillermo del Toro if you saw him on the streets ... like i said sure we have a handful of names out there ... so why does hollywood continue to give white actors roles of hispanics if there are so many good actor to choose from , why choose a puerto rican to play a mexican or visa versa , hollywood is so scared to let people make noise cus they feel they might start to loose all their say and power ... and like i mentioned its not just hispanics but all minority groups with an exception to black actors who have held there own for quite some time . Let these actors flurish, give them oscar worthy roles ..
just look at the nomoniees and scan that for a minority actor/actress .....

dude get off your self righteous high horse there are literally hundreds of hispanic actors out there seen in alot of good movies. don't act like they're segregated.
If anything they did not read as well for the part which they auditioned
it is at the end of the day a job for the best actor, not the most qualified, just like every job out there
