I don't think Crash has anything reedeming about it. It's a sad movie that ends sadly and and frankly is a little unsettling. There's no happiness in it. It was a great movie, but winning best picture, I'm really surprised.
Brokeback Mountain really pushed some limits and was a beautiful movie. I was really surprised that it didn't win.

(Mar 6 06, 08:10)Crash wasn't entirely depressing. There was some good that came out of it, I thought. I'm not sure exactly what, but I didn't hate the film.
However, Brokeback was definitely beautiful and deserved more awards.
