ok my sarcasam was weak i'll admit , first of all i know there are plenty of minority actors out there ..plenty ,here is the problem , Mainstream ROLES..
all Roles are written for nice leading ladies like Reese, or Julia or Charlize , Angelina or star studded cast like Brad Pitt , Cage, Willis , bla bla bla ..etc..in mind ,still not convinced, here is a list of the the top 10 grossing films of 2005 check the credits and find a minority with a leading role ....NONE !! oh they all must have read terrible for those parts

I never said either were better. Haven't seen Brokeback and I didn't like Magnolia very much either.
I didn't like crash becasue it was a bad film. It was one long, over simplified cliche written for the hard of understanding.
Why am I having to explain myself to you anyway? How about you tell me why it was a good film?

Hispanics also have their own media in America. There are seriously 16 channels on my cable system for people who speak spanish. I have HBO latino and they show movies from South and Central America that I have never even heard of before. Mimio may be right about the market dictating who is in the movies.

Haha Skeet Skeet flips the script. Okay. I enjoyed the movie because it brought alot of stereotypical things that are deeply embedded in our culture's subconscious out into the open for people to procss and agree/disagree on. Guns, race, selling out, being a spoiled rich bitch...etc. I enjoyed it and still think its an important film. YAAAY!

a good actor is a good actor , I am part of the market and I watch what is put out , I am entertained , but just would like to see more recognition and representations of the ethnic melting pot that the u.s is , across the board on network tv and big budget films ...
what you guys are telling me is the Market gets what it wants .. which seems like nothing but leading white actors and nothing less . so in turn america would not open up to anyone else? cus that is the Market right? and if we want to see our own , tune in to Univision right?
