the importance of the host has diminished to the point they should just throw it the way of the presenters to entertain. Stewart's diatribe at the beginning felt pretty forced... but at least he was better than chris rock.

when you look back in 10 years, nobody will remember brokeback as a good movie but as a normal run of the mill movie that got popular for exploiting the lack of gay in film.
Crash however will stand the test of time
