Which city has more opportunities in the design field in Canada? And which resembles New York the most?

I remember when I first started looking into post-sec schools, the word was 70-90% of the design industry in this country is in Toronto.

I like the weather in BC but i love the competitiveness of Toronto.
Also i've noticed that most Design Conference are based in Toronto.

Toronto is definetely more like New York in every aspect.. Better salary, jobs, etc...
Vancouver (where I live) is also great but not as good as toronto for design, but there's still a lot of opportunities in the arts, video games, design and music fields. Rains too much and right now it's actually cloudy. Great lifestyle here.
Montreal is also a good city for Design, Music, Fashion and it has a sort of big internet porn industry.
