there has never been a voter turnout of 50% of citizens in the united states, ever.

there are countless times that individuals from The Army Corps of Engineers have warned the Federal, Local and State gov's that these things were weak. So, don't blame one man.
An former Sedimentary Geology professor was once a contractor through them.
I spoke to him about it after the hurricane and studied this Deltaic Paleoenvironment 10 years before this ever happened.
And he's a hardcore Democrat, just not one for Bullsh*t.

The problem should have been handled long before this. And yes, not to beat a word to death, corruption (misappropriation of funds, what have you), on some level, probably had something to do with it.
