It is better. The drop shadow I can live with. But now that their ads are on almost every webpage they NEEEEEEED to get rid of the Goooooooogle! Just make it Google. all those extra O's make pages look so cheap.

no sorry - I shoul dhave pointed out that this was somebodys go at refining and updating it...I was simply saying...if they are going to do that will they PLEASE just kill the drop shadows and bring it out of the 90s

It's interesting that Google's branding is all over the place, all the masses of apps and ideas they've been unleashing on the web in the last year or so, they lack consistency in their image, the colours are always there, but type use and style seem kind of haywire.
And yeah, I find that goooooooogle thing niggly too!
