(a) is nice

A is the best.
- Meeklo0
should I keep the logo on the back or just write it like on example b ?
- rasko40
A but flip the name to the top
- horton0
don't print the back and instead put the money into a spot ink for the grey details on the front.
that small text filled with a screen of the black will be weak.
have you considered a metallic silver flood under the black? with maybe some variations in the black to have some shine through.
+ a contrast between the front and back always looks good.
- Meeklo0
I was actually going to do exactly that horton.
both sides of the card will have uv coating, and the accent logo in the front will be uncoated. the outlines was just to simulate, but there won't be there on the printed version

really, really digging the typesetting of the logomark, meeklo. nice and very finished.
i like A as well. and love the UV idea as well. nice work.

I liked c.
nice and understated,
you all are wrong!
except for the metallic, that's a good call.

D is by far the best. The others are ok, but the information you want to present is most effective in D.
Your name should be on top. like in D and the 'accent' looks much, much better with the stylized font.
heed this. I may not be the majority, but I realy think I am in the right here.
(as if there could really be something as 'right"... but ya get my drift)

hot stamping the accent word would really make it shine.
DO IT.
- jaylarson0
D also has the best balance of negative space
- horton0
is this 2 options or are we still talking front/ back? i like the logo version.
are you printing 2 inks/ Black & Grey + varnish?
the thin text is making me nervous for you.
- Meeklo0
oh man... that's not cool..
D was also my first choice, but since most people picked a, I thouhgt I can go with a...
- Meeklo0
no we moved now to second page, unless suddenly out of nowhere 10 d supporters show up :)
well, I'm doing glossy coat, on both sides, so it feels like plastic almost, but the front side the solid part of the logo will be uncoated.
So I don't think thin type will be a problem... I hope... nah
- horton0
and as far as layout goes, i like the layout of (a), but agree name should be priority as per (d).
therefore i pick (e), not shown.
its the one with name and title on top as per (d), but shifted down more in line with the logo kinda like (a).
:)
- horton0
coating insn't going to stop the inks from bleeding.
are you running this CMYK or 1C or 2C?
- Meeklo0
CMYK actually..
- jaylarson0
I recommend using either 1-color with different screens. it'll keep the cost of printing down.
I have never done metallic ink. becareful with it though. you are already doing something fancy with the "logo" and any further "fancification" of the type may be a bit much.
looks good so far!
- Meeklo0
thanks for the tip, but I'm not doing metallic ink.
I'm doing spot uv, and that's not a problem, my old cards have it already, but since it got such good response... :)
