I'm a strong believer that prison should be about rehabilitating more than punishing. But unfortunately I think the time to rehabilitate this bloke is far gone.
Now it's a case of lock him away to for the safety of others.
We should be doing more to stop people from becoming like him and looking at the cause of such serious stuff.

i mean, i cannot think of small burglars or smaller crime people to hang out with this sort of criminal.. they(the small time criminals)should not be punished this hard just by having these monsters around...seriously.

poomoo, I'm not saying we just ignore the oportunity to study the guy, and that in principal if he can be rehabilitated then what's the point of keeping him in prison past an arbitrary "punishment" length of time (bit iffy on that one though), I just think in practise some people really have to just be locked away forever to keep everyone else safe. Study him by all means, maybe some insight can help treat that 14 year old kid caught whacking off to pictures of dead people, but high-minded principal has to take second place to what works, after a point. imo.

its not just the baby it effects. it society it effect.
the harm that does to society comes from that man laying his penis on the babys lips.
the lines he has crossed all have dangerous effects/possible consquences on society.
furthermore, because someone is not able to understand they have been violated does not mean they have not been.
do you agree with date rape then? surely that, in the same way is harmless?
