Bright Lights Big City vs. Mountains and a wicked outdoor lifestlye in a small mountain city...it's really that simple...Denver is a lot cheaper and your money will go further...but there will be more opportunities in NYC..and hey...it's NYC you know? @ tank: indeed you are getting fucked! what a rip-off! i live in belgium too, but my net-salary is about 6k€ a year higher than yours (5y exp, have BA in design).
Also a bit confused about the american pay. If you guys say: 40K a year; is that taxes and stuff already deducted?

been to Denver four times, lived in NYC for 3.5 years, both Queens and UES. Plus know plenty of PBurghers that have returned from Colorado. That's saying something.
