Why is that? They are fallible humans.
I've met some physicians who are hypocrites and who have said some crazy things, but I still go to the doctor. I haven't denounced the medical profession as a whole.

Well, I honestly didn't mean to get into a discussion about religion or even the debate about evolution vs. Intelligent Design theories. What I really wanted answered, and no one has, was when is design not intelligent?
Try to remove the question from religion or science and just answer it from the perspective of a designer. Isn't all design work intelligent? I think that by putting the work "intelligent" in front of design the world is implying that design can be unintelligent or random. Now there is some not so good design and some really "bad" design, but all design by default must have something intelligent behind it. I think that the concept reveals how the public view the profession of design...that's what needs to be discussed.

you couldnt use it in the same context to describe a brochure you are designing. Think of it as a brand name.
and if that doesnt work for you, this might:
You have to use your brain to create anything, so all design is intelligent.

I have no reason to stop discipler from teaching his children or having a church sponsored school teaching his children about ID.

No, it is YOUR job to distinguish the difference between myself and your examples. I'm just another simple designer trying to earn a living.You have to remember that by making those comparisons, you're also implying something political here as well.
You could easily make the same arguments about any other political/religious beliefs. This includes atheism, socialism, etc.
Christianity is just a target here.
