I'm with that "agenda" too. Sign me up. Let's reverse Roe Vs Wade.

I saw him on tv yesterday and he reminded me of you.

Do you think abortion would stop after that?

the conversation has drifted considerably, yars.

So, what we need here then is some sort of Inquisition then? Whether secular or religious, we gotta start burning people at stakes or something..all this bickering and arguing isn't getting us anywhere..we have to start finding out where people really stand on these issues, and if we don't agree with them kill them and marginilize their families and friends. That IS where this is going to end up, you know..That's how these things always seem to go, at least the christians throughout history were real good at that sorta thing..you know "heretic!", burn, wash, rinse repeat...

Great idea, Tick. But, I think maybe civil discourse might be more effective. If everyone would just commit to being nice.
mrdobs, what did you see/hear Casey on?
- mrdobolina0
a doc on ID.
You always try to act like I don't know anything about ID, but you'd be wrong.
- discipler0
no no, you are the one acting like you don't know anything about ID. ;)
- mrdobolina0
eh whatever. believe what you like, but keep it out of the public schools.

So, I guess this means that the Enlightenment is dead and a new middle ages is about to begin, right?
Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. I'm moving to Ireland to set up a monastery with a copy of the US Bill of Rights, some of Einsteins, Karl Popper and Neils Bohrs books and a biography of Thomas Jefferson and Lincoln.
Contact my followers in a few hundred years when these religious whackos kill each other off over whose version of Jesus their particular personal savior because they're all god's little precious snowflakes..

(Jan 3 06, 08:27)More heretics burned per gallon, I suppose...

There are far more important things in this world to worry about than if someone I do not know wants to end an unwanted pregnancy, don't you think?
What will become of this unwanted baby?
Opens can of worms, what is your stance on the death penalty? Is it consistent with your view on life being precious for unborn children?
Muahahaha.

Well, I guess we've finally forgotten history and are about to repeat things again - hey, just for shits and giggles, let's take a look in the wayback machine:
http://www.wsu.edu/~dee/REFORM/W…
You know those religious wars that tore europe apart for a few hundred years that the American Founders were trying to avoid by um having no official religion in the US..oh well, it's been a good run..now that we got the critical mass of Americans wanting to put their own personal take on God back into everything from the Federla Gov't to whether Barbie is corrupting four years olds into a bisexcual lifestyle, well we'll be having religious litmus tests soon enough...
Ah, the folly that is man...
- pavlovs_dog0
THERE WILL BE NO HOLY WAR IN THE STAES. IF JERRY FALWELL WERE HERE NOW I'D SIT HIS FAT ASS DOWN ON THE FLOOR AND PET HIM LIKE A LAP DOG.

just viewing some of the post and i see most of the experience of God, Jesus, unfortunatly have been bad expeiences because of "christians". I say read the bible for yourself, start with the New Testament and see what Jesus was actually talking about... most of the time it doesn't match up with "christians" but it will match up with true believers.

I agree with Momentum. A lot of Christians do not act with the gentleness and understanding they should which has created a bad stereotype for the rest of believers. And if the Bible is too much to bite off to start with, I suggest checking out www.RelevantMagazine.com for a good sampling of Christianity and how it relates to our generation.
