Anyone use? Anyone like?

I've used Reason since 1.0. A derivative of ReBirth which is now free.
Love it to death, but don't depend on it as the sole provider for your total track.

copy it to cd, send it to me and i'll tell you if i like it or not :P

I'm on 2.5.
3.0 has a mastering suite, yeah, JazX?
- level2b0
I agree, I use it with ProTools for some ReDrum stuff. Wondering if I should fork out the $$ for it..
- Meeklo0
I woulldn't call it a mastering suite, but it has improved the sound ouput a lot.
- JazX0
3.0 has mastering suite + additional effects units.
and get this, I actually paid for this software. full support baby!

I've been looking for a crack with no luck. I may break down and just pay the $400..
- JazX0
dude you're looking the wrong places.
E-mail me...

I love importing MIDI files from popular songs and just stealing the catchy riff and looping it and changing the octave on it to build chords, so fun...

run something like this and control your every step

I use a Radium 49

it is good, but i met someone else a long time ago, but i still like reason cause shes hot, and sometimes we meet at nights, but only for quickies.
anyways, cubase is the mother of my kids, shes the one i love.
also sometimes we hook up for threesomes cubase, reason and I and we have some fun.
but at the end i like placing my samples in cubase one by one, all night long. its better.

I can't decide whether to buy Reason, or buy a drum machine - BOSS or Alesis. Reason looks really intimidating. What's the learning curve like?
- JazX0
you said it

Also, can somebody link me up with a good I/O box? I'm thinking a cheap one with USB.

(Dec 22 05, 10:05)Reason isn't a drum machine and vice versa. You can utilize it as a tool that creates beats, but you can also use it as a sequencer and slice and dice, quantizing your looped sections and total tracks much easier. The learning curve isn't that bad. Took me about a month to learn it well.

I see. Thanks.

i use it in conjunction with a novation x-station as a midi controller .. it's pretty dope but i wish it had VST support
guess i could always hook up cubase and rewire reason into it
- JazX0
Think of it this way driftlab. Almost like Flash in way. Object-oriented so-to-speak. Reason itslef is a soft synth application, however, there are sub-applications (synths, drum mchines, etc.) that allow you to make tracks with. There are effects units that go under those instruments as well. You can sequence out your music and use MIDI keyboards and other devices to control them.
