Think of it this way driftlab. Almost like Flash in way. Object-oriented so-to-speak. Reason itslef is a soft synth application, however, there are sub-applications (synths, drum mchines, etc.) that allow you to make tracks with. There are effects units that go under those instruments as well. You can sequence out your music and use MIDI keyboards and other devices to control them.
