yes exactly, didn't need to make people feel ashamed
you're all sinners! you're all sinners! you're all sinners!
like fuck off with that you fuckin nob! don't need none o' dat shit!

whether or not one feels ashamed about their sin nature, or not, is of no consequence. Our concern should be whether or not something has been done about it.
The good news is, something indeed has been done. :)

there's that maturity we've come to expect version3.
your mom is calling you to get out of the basement and go clean your room. ;)

i mean really, the devil, what a loada rubbish.
penny short of a farthing those judaeo-christians.

Satan's biggest victory was in convincing people he doesn't exist. ;)

It's kind of interesting if you do look at the Gospels and the words accreddited to Jesus, from the point of view of ecstatic religions(Buddhism, Sufism etc.). Seems to work better that way, as opposed to a legalistically literal interpretation.
- discipler0
...and it's the medieval and unscriptural caricatures of the devil, that are rubbish.
- discipler0
well, there are rules of context which we are to follow in reading the words of Christ. Hermeneutics. When he is teaching a parable, we are to take it as such. When he is giving moral instruction, etc...etc...

ha ha, fantastic, Version3.

no... it is Christianity that is a loada rubbish.
I mean, Noah's ark for fukksake. it's all about dishing it to the sinners.
buddhism makes way more sense, you know, personal journey. just the idea, combating desire as the root of all suffering so much more intelligent than - yeah, its the devil that embodies evil. like wtf? davil my arse!

I know, but I got to believe that Hinduism and/or Buddhism had some influence on the teachings of Jesus. They both predate him by hundreds of years, so those ideas had to be floating around.

a good article regarding alleged parallels between Christianity and Buddhism:

Who better than Scholars to discuss issues like this, kuz?
Everybody is coming from a particular world view. What matters is the data being communicated.
- KuzII0
data being communicated by the Christian Research Institute?
riiiiight
you're fun with your absolute necessity to have the last word!
- discipler0
um, an article by Douglas Groothius published by CRI, more accurately.
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obido…you're fun with your tendency to dodge the actual data for fear of what you may learn. ;)
