Anyone have online samples of their portfolio books that they are willing to show?
As far as, what it looks like when you walk in to meet a prospective employer..........
Don't be shy...........

Nothing to really say, mine was a simple book with clear sleaves inside,
I'm not really sure it's that important.
an old saying but. It's what's inside that counts

Alot of people say that about fat birds too.

Personally, I prefer pages that I can hand out or spread on a table. I kind of have a thing against the sleeved print portfolios but it really depends on who you are presenting your work to. Presenting to a potential employer is different than presenting to a client.

my porfolio is housed in a pina zangaro white powder coated aluminum binder with three screwposts to hold the pages
the binder also has a square window on the front which allows my logo to peek thru.my portfolio is printed on mohawk navajo 12x18" 65lb. bright white cover trimmed to 10x18" french folded and inserted into the biinder.
i must say, its pretty damn sexy.

(Nov 11 05, 09:43)i haven't played d&d since i was a kid. no 64 sided dice. but i did just get a brand new schwinn bicycle.
ps. its a ten speed.
pps. its red.
ppps. it should go really fast once i learn to ride it without the training wheels.

Sven, do your pages have plastic sheets or does the edge of the paper attach to the book somehow. I want to make something without plastic for my photos as it glares and takes away from the work.
- Sven_sk0
no there isn't any plastic
bc i hate the way it looks and you get wicked glareit just looks cheap
the binder that i have
has screwposts which are little posts that have two parts
one screws into the other
the screws go through the two sides of the binder holding it together and holding the worka binder similar to the one i use:
http://www.pictureline.com/produ…the link shows the screwposts and the binder
mine is white powder coated with a window in front
i think i paid like $160 for it a couple years ago

i printed my work out on 12x18
trimmed it to 10x18
folded the page in half so its 10x9
i got a single hole punch
and hand punched two holes in each folded page to line up with the holes in my binderyou want to make sure you punch the side that IS NOT folded
bc then when you assemble the book it looks like its printed front and backit took a bit to do but the result was well worth it
i've received all sort of props on it
- Sven_sk0
if the case is too much money you can do the same sort of thing with spiral binding
but that looks cheap too
and you can't update or alter your porty
- Bottlerocket0
man, you're the MAN when it comes to books.
