no there isn't any plastic
bc i hate the way it looks and you get wicked glareit just looks cheap
the binder that i have
has screwposts which are little posts that have two parts
one screws into the other
the screws go through the two sides of the binder holding it together and holding the worka binder similar to the one i use:

mine is white powder coated with a window in front
i think i paid like $160 for it a couple years ago
