Who still uses Quark?

at my school they took it off the campus computers and teachers had to get a grant to have it put back on. campus tech services are way seperate from the fine arts dept and don't really cater to it at all - i.e. no rips for the oversize printers, shitty queue system for printing, no program support.
i know other schools that have taken it off as well. i hadn't used it for 2 years until i had to at my new job. its not all that different from indesign, so its not hard to get used to.

for once I agree with Dobs...
Quark is king because it's an old standard, and standards diehard. Also because of the extensions. Sure, alot of print companies are excepting InDesign and PDF files- but they will ALWAYS except Quark files. Some production extensions are priceless to a company- not to mention expensive. If you had a system with the App and over $8,000.00 worth of add ons and everything works- you are not going to abandon it because inDesign might be better.
If you are on Quark- your most likely to stay there.
Alot of companies, like TV Guide, still use Quark on OS 8 or OS 9 on a mac to run things with old Applescripts.
Point is Quark is not dead.

we didn't touch quark in school. it wasn't even on most of the computers.
i just learned it first day on the job. its not hard to use.
