i put about 180hrs on contract and 60hrs on freelance clients. i am young so i figured i'd better be more aggressive and stop acting like a dometicated dog.

epill,
your rent is 1200, let's say another 1000 for food and play. then you spend about 1k on smoking? :P

(Oct 26 05, 11:44)ok so how do your contract and freelance rates compare? if you don't mind me asking :)
- e-pill0
you forgot bills, which is like 650 and since i am married remember all play becomes double and smokes is real close to 1000.
:)
- tkmeister0
e-pill, i am single and all play is still double since i pick up my lady friend's dinner and drinks...
horton, i charge about the same for both contract and freelance. freelance is a bit higher but not much. what do you charge?

(Oct 26 05, 12:32)my rates are all over the map based on project & client, but definitely more for freelance vs contract... about + 30%-40%.
- e-pill0
do you guys charge hourly or daily or by the job?
:)

(Oct 26 05, 13:12)all of the above.
usually hourly.. sometimes by the job (when its to my advantage)... and a few instances where a day rate was appropriate.
