Can someone, anyone or everyone tell me why I can't get hired...is it my portfolio? Is it me? What is my problem?

you might want to optimize the images on your site a bit better.

how is your cover letter?
maybe throw a little 'about you' on your site? clients like to know who they are hiring, not just what you can do. most companies are small so they can't hire a wrench that will mess up their gears.
how are you sending out your resume? a job site?
deodorant? show more clevage? LESS!?!

maybe you should just be content with all the NT'ers who loved you back :)

your work is fine, everyone goes through t sometime, just a dry spell, and everywhere you apply doesnt even really send you anything back, just keep the faith, and better yourself on your down time as well, learn new things, and you have nothing to lose, except for some loot here and there, but you get the point
look past the negative, youll see theres always positive, ok enough of that

yes thanks.

It might help to show some layouts/ads that used your work.
I liked the photos. I think I checked out most of them.

Maybe too much volume of stuff? Or not enough focus (design versus photo)?
The work looks solid, But I know when I look at people's folios, If I see one piece that's not just dazzling and brilliant, it's kind of a turn off. Maybe go through the work and just be freaking brutally discriminating.
Or you could ignore this because I'm not responsible for hiring anyone.Do you do only print?
Where are you applying?
Have you interned or worked before?

are you looking everywhere or just local to Tenn?
- mg330
Just a suggestion, but where is stuff you've actually done?
Logo "idea" and Logo "proposal" accompanied by very simple and basic graphics (IMO) do not tell a person very much.
On a humerous note, when I clicked the photo called "drinks in the window," I must have thought for a couple minutes "what kind of work is that? was it the photo? is it art? did they do the packaging?"

what i sense, is a lack of experience. go out and hustle.

I'll be honest, your work is at the same level as a lot of students we get in here as interns. That's not to say you're not going to get better...
For starters, try to pull out what you would consider your best piece of work to use as a focal point on your main page. I personally hate staring at a pile of thumbnails, it doesn't make me wanna click on anything.
Your website itself needs something, it doesn't have to be much, just something more intriguing, it can even be how you use the space. Right now it's very boring and doesn't sell yourself as a designer...
Go through some websites that you like and are applicable to yourself and critically look at them and figure out what it is that makes that site so good and maybe why yours isn't as good...
- mg330
Also, your website logo, I don't know, but it feels communistic.

ditch the photography, or cut it way back. Focus on Design section more.
keep trying, thats life.

Evan might have a point in regards to the volume of work. If you went for an interview to show your work, you would only bring select pieces and the number would be limited. Maybe approach it the same way.
Have text details about the projects.
Otherwise you work is very good. I actually spent more time going through your photographs. And that poses another question are you looking for a design job or something to do with photography?
Anyway good luck, don't get discouraged it all comes in time.

what everyone else said and ... organize your work better. Categorize it. Are you sending out resumes with a general link to your site? Anyone in charge of hiring will take about 5 seconds to determine if you have what they need. Make it easy for them.
And if you are looking specifically in TN, it's so much who you know. Network your a$$ off.

i mostly do print yes, but i can do web stuff just not the programming bit. Everyone has my reusme...probably a few of them. I'm a design whore and a stalker. Thanks for the tips I'll be updating and fixing shortly.

i'm trying to stick to Nashville, but I'd maybe go somwhere else. I just really love Nashville.
- gruntt0
your logo looks like a titty.
i'd hire you for that alone.
- kyl30

You took some photos of Open Road, a band I happen to know well. I'd hire you just for that : )
