while the country is worried about the gulf coast, these sneaky bastards are proposing national id cards mandatory to vote.
I cannot wait until we have checks and balances in government again.

people should really care about this.

Explain to me, though, how having an ID card is bad.
I come from a country where everyone is required to have a passport. You're not required to have it on you all the time, but you're required to have one.
And it's still a pretty democratic country.

I'll take a national photo ID over millions of illegal votes being cast any day.
Can anyone say Dornan v. Sanchez, round I?

black folks dont have ID, as racist and generalized as that sounds, it is true.
- GreedoLives0
as racist and generalized as it sounds, mr dobs, i see plenty of black folk with WIC/welfare IDs and liquor IDs at the supermarket.
So they are actually capable of obtaining them. It's a behavior that can be modified, if you require it.

will it take twenty years? the only function this id is for is voting.

hoe bout a 1% tax on all political campaigns? ....then they'd be free like a s.s. card.
cuz if there's a justified tax, thats gotta be it.

james baker is the fucking devil lawyer that made florida happen in 2000. he does not have voting rights on the top of his list for this initiative.

umm check the first link I posted maybe?

Yes but seeing the boogieman in every single proposal does not a sane democrat make.
But i do agree, with this ID bullshit, it's either EVERYONE gets one, or NOONE gets one. And considering the best info they'd have to go by to distribute these things is voluntary census data and motor vehicle registry records, that doesn't look very likely.

that's not 'his' initiative - that's one politician's opinion on the subject... but what are the 'true' purposes for this card? I don't wanna hear the conspiracy theory reasoning... I want to here what 'the devil's' own words are.

Im not a democrat.
That is another thing that the current political climate has forced upon everyone. If you disagree with the leader, you are a democrat.
I dont give two fucks about abortion, the death penalty, or any of the touchy feely issues. this is just lame.
