but, but butt would work too but for the absence of 'kick' which instead is replaced by 'better than' , but i guess it still works that way, (with butt instead of but) hence your confusion.

force - remember that this thing is in beta. I wouldn't use an iffy font manager on a production system.

yeah of course mate. it's a personal computer... maybe font agent pro for a bit.
lookin forward to being organised on my own system, instead of work comp.

Typographica - look forward to reading the review on you site. When do you think you'll have it up?
- Typographica0
When 1.0 is released.

Even if its a Beta this is getting a big thumbs up from me.. Entering my second day using it constantly with very minor buggy problems.. Will look forward to activation on ps and illustrator..
Finally it looks like someone has it as near to right as possible.. (FAP is close but has an awful interface)
I'm feeling adventurous and daring this week so I've uninstalled everything but FontExplorer and having no trouble..

And yes thats how sad my life is lately that being adventurous is, relying on an prerelease font management program is the height of excitement for me this week..
- nomis0
On a side note - when I installed FontExplorer it asked me if I wanted to clear out extra installed system fonts - I said yes, and it uninstalled Arial, I'd forgotten how good web looks in Helvetica...

i agree nomis! i am having the problem though where i cant rename folders/sets.
it blinks for a sec then stops.
any ideas?

I retract my earlier statements. 2 or three restarts later, everything is okay. I do not understand, and in turn, hate computers.

bump
from version tracker:
'This thing is starting to look very solid.'
Update 9/29: A new version, 1.0fc2 (build C6F1), has been posted. No release notes so I can’t tell you what’s fixed or new. That drives me nuts.
Update 9/30: Correction, there is a changelog, but it’s at MacUpdate and VersionTracker, not the Linotype site. Improvements include font rating, cache cleaning, speed, and stability. This thing is starting to look very solid.

I suppose you meant "from typographica"

sorry to be unclear, the text was from versiontracker.com.
But thanks for the link typographica

I totally love it so far...we installed it on a couple of boxes at work where suitcase was giving us no end of shit (it would corrupt the adobefnt.lst files literally every day) and haven't had any issues at all so far. Of course it's only been two weeks or so, we'll see in the long run.

im likin it, way faster than font book, cleaner too.
but yeah, some of the asian fonts dont show in there for some reason.
anyone have an explanation to that?
- GreedoLives0
i can't really explain it very well, but it has something to do with your 'international' settings (if you're on a mac). A lot of those foreign fonts somehow double as both latin and foreign, depending on your display settings.
So uh yeah.
