I'm looking for places that will make the printed cards that when you view from one angle, you see one image and then if you tilt the card a little, you see another image.
What is that called again? Is that a printing thing or what? It's not exactly a hologram, but I don't know what to search for to find the places that will do that for me.
Thanks.

Lenticular images.

the plasic laminated onto the image is a series of lenses which change the image based on the angle of view. The vendor will take your images and set up the print file accordingly. Ask for the specs.

you are in GA?
I have a vendor in TX (dallas) (im in austin) that specializes in lenticular graphics.
They are the only shop I have found yet that doesn't have a minimum order requirement. Others say 5,000 pieces and higher.
These guys will do 100 even less if you only need that many...ect.

Print specialists - I have a question, regarding artboard sizing in illustrator:
eg, I make an artboard for A4 paper size, 210 X 297mm, 300dpi
According to this calculator https://pixelcalculator.com/en in pixels it should be 2480 X 3508 Pixels.
But in Illustrator, if I change my preferences>units from mm to pixels... the Artboard is now 595.2756 X 841.8898 px
What's going on? Should I just ignore illy and go with 2480 X 3508 Pixels.
I need to export the layout to procreate, then from there to photoshop.
If I follow through with illustrators pixel sizing it's all too small with procreate and photoshop. So I guess I've answered my own question.
Is this another 'adobe' thing. Is it simply going by a default 72dpi?
- yeah... it's 72dpi.how to make sure it's locked to 300dpi?shapesalad
- Illy, by default, does paper space. So always keep the units in mm / 300dpi.face_melter
- bless you for resurrecting a 16 year old thread to ask this questionBaskerviIle
- When you export, just export at 300dpi. It will be correct. You do NOT think about pixels while working in mm.monospaced
- I just confirmed by testing. Export A4 at 300dpi, and it is 2481x3508 pixels. :)monospaced

What's the thinnest line printable with giclée?
At 300dpi is a thin black line of 0.25mm the minimal limit?
- You mean inkjet?Nairn
- Yeah, but they call it giclée to be all fancy. inkjet art print.shapesalad
- if the machine can print at 300dpi, then it should manage a 0.0846666mm line.hans_glib
- but it'll depend on the resolution of the print head on the specific machinehans_glib
- yea, really depends on the printer. what are you using?futurefood
- I've printed hairline (0.075in) on the higher end epson printers.futurefood
- using a big print company, so presumable it'll handle fine lines.shapesalad
- Ask Them. As everyone else here's said, it'll be down to the machine. You can assume a big printer will be closer to achieving ideal minimums thoughNairn
- Also - what colour range is the line made up of? Fine lines will highlight CMYK misregistration more.Nairn
