What's the thinnest line printable with giclée?

At 300dpi is a thin black line of 0.25mm the minimal limit?

    • You mean inkjet?Nairn
    • Yeah, but they call it giclée to be all fancy. inkjet art print.shapesalad
    • if the machine can print at 300dpi, then it should manage a 0.0846666mm line.hans_glib
    • but it'll depend on the resolution of the print head on the specific machinehans_glib
    • yea, really depends on the printer. what are you using?futurefood
    • I've printed hairline (0.075in) on the higher end epson printers.futurefood
    • using a big print company, so presumable it'll handle fine lines.shapesalad
    • Ask Them. As everyone else here's said, it'll be down to the machine. You can assume a big printer will be closer to achieving ideal minimums thoughNairn
    • Also - what colour range is the line made up of? Fine lines will highlight CMYK misregistration more.Nairn
