The people I know making that much are the Senior Art Directors, ACD or Creative Directors. I knew a freelancer who pulled in around 150k, he was working like a mad man and kept charging more per each gigs.

900euro. that's nice.
if he can book 45wks/yr at that rate, he'll be making 200k.

I know an Art Director at Publicis, she's making 50k with 3 years of experience. Another AD at Olgilvy, she's making 45k, and another AD at Grey and she's making 40k with 2 years of experience. The range varies greatly here in NYC.

yeah, that's the craziest part.
but if you are solid Sr AD or CD, you should be able to sell yourself for $100k+.
you can make $150k with freelance if you are good. once you are in the game, project will never stop coming. but i think those won't last forever and eventually burn out.
i personally think it's better to take a fulltime at $100k and take it easy.
i am not going to say everyone who's been working 6yrs or more make that much. it's actually a very small group of people who can get to 6 figures.

everyone is migrating to NYC as we speak.

It easy to make over 6 figs if your contracting or freelancing. Just stick to your hourly rate, $50/hr +.
