blu-ray is the new disc developed by sony and toshiba that will spearhead the hi-def revolution and replace dvds for films in your home. it is technologically superior than dvds and has a capacity of up to 54 Gb of data, as opposed to the dvd's paltry 9.

fo real tho, scarabin, you got a point with the blu ray. if it takes off like ppl say, then i myself will be stuck with a box that is out dated.
but, i can still play all the bad ass games on a system taht's fun as hell, especially in an online format, vai LIve.

seriously, getting a ps3 with a built in blu-ray video player for less than a grand is a smart move since blu-ray drives will be 3,000 bucks at first

shit, can a normal tv even show the efficiency of blue-ray dvds?
and will the ps3 be on the same category as a blue-ray dvd player?

no, you need an hd tv to view any sort of hd quality content at its highest level, and yes, ps3 will be just as efficient at playing blu-ray movies as any other blu-ray player on the market

You think I should sell my PS2 with 120GB HDD, 40 games and accessories and buy an Xbox 360?
I'm very tempted. I'm doubtful if the PS3 will be out before 2007 in the UK so Next-Gen by November's really sounding good. Quite like the sound of getting an HD TV too for the full experience.

but a Halo whore to be precise! that means i have to get 360, just for one title. and im totally gonna do it.
but i guess as far as sony's online strategy goes, we'll have to see how the new metal gear does. Im totally gonna check that out. unbelievalbe game going the way of online co-op and multiplayer. freakin' sweeet!
