I remember the driver on a winery tour we took told us "everyone who lives in Sausilito is rich."

dude... its the shizzle. if you want htat 'not far from the city, but far enough away not to care" kinda lifestyle.... its always got the weather, yes, you pay for it, but you can get a 2bedroon with a garden for the same price as a one bedroom in the city,,,, when i was there in 2002 it wasd around 1500 per month,....
always got to take that city night out cab ride home into consideration tho, eh? thats at least a $50.....

I love riding in china camp, there's this one decent that is so hairy that you have get behind your seat and pray to make it down, just a gully really, full brakes and you're acceleratiing all the way.

SF is such a great city. Was only there for 4 days but just fell in love with the place. Biking from Pier 39 to Sausilito across the GG Bridge was truly one of the best afternoons I've ever had in my life.

when i lived in SF i was obsessed with livin' on a houseboat in sausalito.
never did it... kinda hard to get on one, and plus all your friends are in the city and if you stay out drinkin' it's hard to get home later on at night.

i used to live on bay @ stockton... used to ride thru that new bayside reserve, upto the golden gate, race acrooss it, up that little fucker of a hill, then all the way down into sausilto... the missus always won, then it was on from sausalito round to tiburon for the ferry back home...
you're totally right, the best bike ride EVER.

One of the best camping spots in the country is on the west side of Mount Tam. Steep Raving Environmental Campground. There are a few freaky cabins perched on a cliff but the motherload is site #3 (Starfish) its under a giant windswept pine surrounded by the Pacific on three sides. Reservations are accepted 7 months out, so mark yer calander and start dialing like mad at 8:55am. I got it twice and will go back.
