you need a special environment for fossilzation to occur. It's not as if all lifeforms were recorded in the fossil record. in fact, the majorty of the more common fossils are used by geologists as guide layers in stratigraphy.
for example, Cambrian-based sedimentary deposits, you'd look for seabed style limestones containing trilobites, etc.

There is no reliable evidence to suggest there existed a "chinese culture" 6000 years ago. That being said, most I.D. proponents think the earth is much older than that. The book of Genesis allows for multiple definitions of the word "day" i.e. solar day, or day/age of time. The earth shows signs of being very young and then some would argue it shows signs of being very old. It's an in-house debate and a secondary issue. My PERSONAL stance, at this point in time, is that the earth is between 6 - 10,000 years old. Doesn't matter what i think on this issue though.

you are so self-absorbed you do not see your own stupidity
if god was not created that means he does not exist which means he did not create Me
your post below is the icing on the cake as to why I should put you on ignore, but can't. it is by far the dumbest thing I have ever read, for some reason though, I expect more of the same from you.

no, you aren't following the simple logic. Here, I'll break it down:God by definition is the uncreated creator of the universe, so the question "Who created God?" is illogical, just like "To whom is the bachelor married?".
follow the reasoning:
1. Everything which has a beginning has a cause.
2. The universe has a beginning.
3. Therefore the universe has a cause.
4. And therefore an uncaused being would need to be it's source.

(Aug 10 05, 10:43)Fossil was founded in 1984 by Tom and Kosta Kartsotis, brothers, currently Chairman of the Board and CEO respectively, focusing on fashion and value at a time when no company was really doing that. The image the company communicated was vintage Americana, which turned out to be a huge homerun.

The flexible definition of time(ddays, years) seems like a convienient way to side step some real issues of these theories.
- discipler0
mrdobs, that would be consistent with record in genesis as to how populations were dispersed to other lands.

So if the world is only 6,000 years old, does that mean that primitive early life, dinosaurs and wooly mammoths all co-existed? Or did they each live for only a couple thousand years each? I'm just wondering how you compress time on such a massive scale like that and still take into account actual physical evidence from the fossil record.
