so you feel that being gay is a lifestyle decision then?
- Mimio0
It's not the idea that spongebob could be a gay character, it's the fact that he's considered subversive/harmful by some for being so.
Class A example of a "living in the 50's" Right-Winger.

More accurately, I believe it is a behavior and a lifestyle.

do you guys really hate each other?
- discipler0
Some people would prefer that their children not be subtly introduced to the gay lifestyle by others who have an agenda. Some parents wish to talk to their kids about it themselves when they are ready to.

Sexuality isn't just one-way anymore.
- discipler0
I think it has been many ways, for many years, Jaline.
Doesn't mean that everyone has to accept or condone it.

that's a good point. I wouldn't want my kids being influenced by anything that I don't personlly see fit good for them persay. I don't care what it is.

not per se Percy?
- mrdobolina0
how exactly did spongebob advocate the gay lifestyle?
btw, people are born gay, they don't "turn" gay, bigot.

these days kids are soaking up the gay like a sponge.

"For the first time ever, everything is in place for the Battle of Armageddon and the Second Coming of Christ."
the [fucking] gipper.
good. fucking. riddance.

That's probably because there is more support for them out there. Once you see the support appearing, you'll see tons of people going to it.
- discipler0
I never said he did. You did! I've never seen spongebob nor heard anything about this issue.
That is your opinion, mrdobs. I disagree. People choose to behave a certain way. Find me a homosexual who has had a solid relationship with his father. The point is that there are influences that can steer someone to a certain behavior/lifestyle, but it's not necessarily healthy for them.
And people change all the time.
How am I bigot, again?

"There is this innocence," 37-year-old Alex Fung, a clothing designer in New York, told the Journal. "He's not very masculine for a male character. And he's soft."
And he's not the only one. SpongeBob's cohort, Squidward the grumpy squid, listens to classical music and likes bubble baths. Patrick is often spotted holding hands with SpongeBob, and the two dream of being superheroes when they grow up (just like the crimefighters in their favorite TV show, The Adventures of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy).
The Journal cites anecdotal evidence pointing to the show's popularity among homosexuals. Novelty shops catering to a gay clientele in such cities as New York and Atlanta are having trouble keeping SpongeBob memorabilia in stock, as everything from keychains and action figures to plush toys and squeezable dolls are getting snapped up at a record pace. "
Rrright...
