At the end of the day, it's none of my business what somebody's preference is - I don't need to know about it. Just don't force it onto my kids and don't squelch my freedom to disagree with it.
And don't tell me to redefine a covenant that is, by definition, between a man and a woman.

A lot of the time, the gay sons don't have a great relationship with their father after/because they are gay. Mothers don't take as long to accept it because...well...they have expectations....but not as hardcore as fathers tend to have. This obviously doesn't apply to everyone...just from what I've seen.

The few gay friends I have, have not had a good relationship with their fathers. This is a generalization, I'm sure it's not always the situation. One friend who was in the gay lifestyle for years is no longer in it and hasen't been for years. Again, people can change.

why not leave the judging up to God and focus on the treating others with kindess?
i simply cannot believe how many people use God as an excuse to hate gays.
and it is 'hate', not 'disagreeing with a lifestyle'.
and for the record, i'm very christian, very active in my church and think it's bullshit that you get beaten up for being christian when if you were strongly for any other belief no one would say 'boo'.
that said, i'm sticking with 'fuck you' cause it suits you and your homophobic ways.

I know what you mean when you say disagreeing doesn't = hate, because obviously there are things I too disagree with but don't necessarily hate. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.

Look just for the record - I wasn't trying to start anything here.
I love everybody on this board - even Republican and Discipler.
I may not agree with the thigns they say or the way they say them - but I figure if you can still love someone regardless of what they think then it's a positive step forward to makin the world a better place.
