Just don't respond then. I wouldn't. If one of you were able to muster up some sense and propose an analogy that I had a hard time debating I may look at my own "logic" and question it.
The last thing I would do is jump in and tell you to kill yourself then get all my liberal friends to question when you signed on to news today to avoid the topic.

In my opinion the people who were aqually killed can be considered innocent but there is no innoicence in British or American history. It's not blaming yourself but recognizing your reality. By the way I think we're still defending ourselves regardless of what Blair's protesters think...

well in defense of my analogy (and what I think you are missing) is that maybe "an eye for an eye" isn't always a solution. I also think that passing blame to the *current* victim in this case is praising the assault.

I also think blame shouldn't be placed on Britain for the attack they just suffered. But that doesn't mean they are free from criticism of how they conduct themselves or in need of a little self-evaluation.

I completely agree! I am not a republican (and don't know any) who denies history at all!
I agree that there were and are some atrocities we (America, UK, France, Germany, Russia, China, Korea, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Africa, Spain, etc) have and are committing right now!
The only problem is that intentionally killing innocent lives is escalating the problem and by not condoning the events as they take place as loudly as you condone Iraq or history you have terrorists believe that by intentionally killing innocent lives their plan is working.
It's not. It will make it worse as it is right now.

Think from a terrorists POV. If you see that when you kill innocent people in a country the country that is now victim blames their government first and loudly states "It is our fault!". This would increase the violent acts because the terrorists think they are "winning".
