well in defense of my analogy (and what I think you are missing) is that maybe "an eye for an eye" isn't always a solution. I also think that passing blame to the *current* victim in this case is praising the assault.

------------------------------Eye for an eye is exactly why we were in Afghanistan and Iraq, though I don't disagree with the first invasion/ occupation.
I also think blame shouldn't be placed on Britain for the attack they just suffered. But that doesn't mean they are free from criticism of how they conduct themselves or in need of a little self-evaluation.
